Who We Are
We are a team of experts working together to help African communities re-learn their indigenous foods and food systems for a sustainable food secure African

We are committed
to ensuring food sustainability in Africa
Years of colonization and marginalization has negatively transformed African people’s livelihoods and affected their production and consumption patterns. Globalized markets threaten indigenous food systems, making them increasingly dependent on externally sourced foods, many of which are highly processed – leading to increased food insecurity and malnutrition.
A market driven agriculture denies families an opportunity to grow or store food for their own consumption. Lack of post-harvest storage systems at farm level translate to crop loss of over 60%.
